The plan is to meet say around 4:00 p.m. or after at Itaewon. PM your available times. The meeting will be a good chance to practice your French. If you are not that good, don't worry.

I'm not trying to be an azz, but why would someone be studying French in Korea? Shouldn't people in Korea be learning Korean? I'm afraid French won't do you any good here. Laughing

Unless you are going to live in Korea on a permanent basis, why do you need to learn Korean? Most people who are interested in French, are more likely to benefit, later, from French than Korean, so why shouldn't they find opportunities to keep their French language skills current. If I were still in Korea, I would DEFINITELY be meeting up with Adventurer at 4 pm on Sunday. Quelle bonne idee!

Princess, news flash there are thousands of Canadians in Korea who think it's good for the job prospects to speak French especially if they want to work in customer service, Bay Street, government etc... Also, most people are not going to stay in Korea. Most people are only in Korea for a couple of years. Also, you are assuming that the people learning French are not trying to learn any Korean. Not everyone is looking to stay in Korea forever. Life is temporary for most people who come here unless they have a girlfriend/boyfriend or wife from the country or came with one abroad.

Hey Princess. Another newsflash. The above mentioned Canadians might like to retain their French. If you want to stay a one language marvel...go ahead.

We are going to have a meeting on the 12th of August. We have three confirmed attendees, but we would like two more. PM if you can make it.
You can be an absolute beginner and we will make sure you pick up something from the meeting...Everyone is at a different level...

Thanks..

I don't plan to be a one language marvel. I study Korean, which is what benefits me as long as I stay here. French is something I'd do later, since I did study it for 3 years before. But, for now, Korean is my concern. Followed by Japanese/Cantonese.
