Hello all!
Wondering if anyone ha any details about where/how to purchase an American or English Wii in Korea? Are there any websites that offer it or ship it to Korea? Does the military base carry it?
Also, anyone know if I can get it modded with the same chip that they use on the Japanese versions in Yongsan?
TIA! |

Just a heads up: As of when I left for Korea (3 weeks ago) all new Wii's were incredibly hard to mod using the current chips due to Nintendo cutting some pins off inside them. Another work around will be found eventually (and may have already been, after I got my chip I stopped reading the scene news) but until then NTSC (USA) and PAL (Europe) cannot be easily modded. I don't know about JAP, but I assume its the same.

Try and buy used, or with a mod chip already installed.
Also why do you want a PAL or NTSC wii as opposed to a JAP one? |

Hello,
Thanks for your advice. Actually I'd like to buy one for my friend in the States and I think she'd appreciate one in English better, but I'd like to mod it for her so that she can use the burned games on it, so just looking for info on how to do it.
Thanks! |
