Does, indeed, can, such a thing exist?

Kenny Everett.

He was bloody brilliant, but was also a fervent suporter of Thatcher and the Tories.

Quote:
In the 1983 election campaign, the Young Conservatives invited Kenny to their conference in an attempt to attract the youth vote. Egged on by film director Michael Winner, Kenny bounded onto the stage, wearing the enormously oversized foam rubber hands familiar from his mock-evangelical character Brother Lee Love. He shouted slogans like "Let's bomb Russia!" and "Let's kick Michael Foot's stick away!" (Michael Foot was the elderly leader of the Labour party.)

His support for the Conservatives dated back to the late 1960s when the Conservatives, then in opposition, criticised the Labour government's treatment of the 'pirate' stations.

And here he is as the wonderful Cupid Stunt:

P. J. O'Rourke can make me laugh sometimes, but afterwards, I have a bad taste in my mouth.

Not Kenny at his best, perhaps a bit of a boob even in this pc age, but I think appropriate for this forum: A Political Sketch

They're talking about the SDP, which is now known as the liberal democrats. Not that you will care...

I really like Ben Stein, he's hilarious and pokes fun at the left often. Dennis Miller is also good, as well as Don Imus(not sure if he'd classify as a comedian though). Larry the Cable Guy is conservative as well, some find him funny.

Any other Americans that I missed?

No, he isn't. Although he has made a career out of being a sop to the right.

And I don't find guys dressed up as females inherently funny. Koreans and Brits might, but that says more about them than about humor.

So far, I'm underwhelmed.

Perhaps you'll never find a conservative you find funny. That may have more to do with your inability to laugh at yourself. Oh, and Miller did not make a career out of being a "sop to the right." That happened well into his career after 9/11.

huh?.......you wanted more comedians so I gave you some. What do you think of Carey or Stine?

You're response makes me think that this thread was created solely to attack the right and not actually to discover new comedians. Say it isn't so, Ya-ta

Yakov Smirnoff plays in Branson Missouri to a family oriented audience and waves the US flag often. Bob Hope and Andew Dice Clay could be called right wing. Bob Hope can be called dead too.

Though on what might be termed "cultural" issues, he was definitely more of a liberal.
