It's Tuesday and according to what I was told by a couple of people at the salsa congress this weekend, tonight at Macondo there is supposed to be a free casino rueda class. I was told it's being put on by whoever owns Macondo. I have no idea who that is.
I'm home right now, in Namyangju, but here in a couple of hours I plan on hopping the bus and heading into Seoul and over towards Macondo (I'm pretty sure I know how to find it now). My info is that the class starts at 7:30 pm....but I'll be there earlier just so I don't miss anything.
On the subject of 'finding it', I also learned this weekend that the reason the instructions on GalbiJim.com on finding Macondo are wrong is because the club used to be somewhere else.
A week or so I eventually found Macondo but also stumbled across Boston and Bahia.....on the same street about a block or so away.
If my info is true then I guess it's a safe bet there'll be some dancing there tonight. I'll bring in a change of clothes so I can stay in a jimjilbang if I want to. If there's no dancing a Macondo after the class for whatever reason, then I'll be able to proceed to an alternate club somewhere.
So....if you wanna plug into this with me....one way or the other we'll be able to do some dancing. You can call me at 010 9122 8095.
BTW....the congress was good this weekend. I got some pics and videos with my little Casio Digital Camera which you can see on my blog at http://wanderingsalsero.typepad.com or at www.dropshots.com/seoulsalsero . |
