Hola from Tejas!
So, I'm teaching World History and in a couple of months I'll be teaching about Korea. I'd like to show a good documentary about the North (A State of Mind is especially intriguing to me), but there are quite a few & I'd like suggestions.
So, which one is your favorite and why? |

i forget the name of it but an eye surgeon from india or nepal or somewhere and a camera crew fly there to do 1000 cataract operations in 10 days... they manage to film some interesting stuff under that pretense... a little bit of historical background, as well as the story of a military guy who escaped across the border(!) to the south... great flick! |

There's one on CNN this weekend which follows a family as they escape the North into China.
Or you could just use Gong Gong Chil in 'Die Another Day' |

I liked Crossing the Line, the recent documentary about the last living US military defector in North Korea, Joe Dresnok. Read about it here or download it from bit torrent. |
