I've had everything set up for my trip to Korea, but the travel agent stops me at the last minute after a week of assuring me everything is alright.
She says that I can't get a one-way ticket without the visa in hand, but at the same time, I need to get there ASAP to start for the fall semester, and was supposed to do a visa run.
Now, is this immigration cracking down such that I have to get an ongiong ticket, am I stuck waiting on an E-2 instead of doing a visa run, or am I getting the runaround? Also to note, this is a local American travel agent.
Should I just try to get the recruiter/school to let me arrange the Japan visa run trip at the same time, or will this do any good without a ticket back to America? |

u can come in with a one way ticket. I did it on monday. Explain to the guy at the airport that your visa is in processing and it should be fine. All travel agents and now even airport checkin tells you that you can't come with a one way ticket. They are mostly right but I have done it three times in the last two months and nothing has happend to me .
good luck |

| Trouble is, I can't even get the ticket right now. I need to get that far at least, and that's not looking too easy at the moment. |

| Ask your travel agent to book you an ongoing, REFUNDABLE ticket from Busan to Japan. That will take care of the one-way business. |
