Anyone know anything about Chung Ju city? Have just recieved a job offer thats looks decent. but it looks very small. I don't assume ktx goes through, night life? anyone out there please help.

Is it Chungju or Cheongju you are asking about?

Cheongju has a decent nightlife and is much more exciting than other towns its size. It's not far off the main subway line, but buses are faster for going up to Seoul.

i'm pretty sure its chung ju city, its not far out of seoul, about an hour 45 minutes maybe? is this the city you are talking about with decent night life?

If it is Chungju, it's a mid-sized town in the east of Chungchongbuk-do. If it is Cheongju, it is the bigger one, the provincial seat in the west of the same province. Both are roughly 90-120 mins away from Seoul by bus. The latter was the one RT was referring to and the same city I live in. It is sometimes rendered Chungju as well. If you could post details about the school and the location, I can maybe get to the bottom of this mystery.
