feedlots, factory farms etc are terrible places. but so are the most farms, the amount of chemicals etc that we used to pump into the stock units was amazing, not to mention what we sprayed on the crops.
these days i much prefer raising our own lambs and killing them myself, at least you know whats gone into your meat. plus we get money for the skins and offal for the dogs. not much is wasted.

Not much wasted in the factories either - when the offal and bits of bone drop on the floor, pick them up, for that's our sausages!
