I just arrived in Seoul and have started looking for a job after getting a cell phone. Before I post my resume on every job board, I decided to call up some hagwons directly and then send them my resume. I sent out my first batch of resumes today and I'm waiting for responses.
Any other tips or suggestions? Thanks. |

If you aren't bad looking and have a suit, go directly to the places and drop them off. That will help a lot. Also, if you are just looking for a hagwon job, go into the big ones YBM, PAGODA, etc and see if they have any openings? If you have credentials, the universities are starting to hire now for September. |

Thanks! Other than YBM and Pagoda, what other big hagwons are there in Seoul? I've heard of CDI and Pagoda, but that's about it. Is there a website that lists all the names of the hagwons in the Seoul area? |

CDI isn't very good. You can make more money, but holidays (including national ones) are out of the question. They work you hard too, and until recently, were very racist about only hiring kyopos (though that has apparently changed in the last few years).
I don't know any other big ones. DON'T GO WITH WONDERLAND!!! |
