| If I flew myself here on my own dime, when negotiating my contract, if I ask for reimbursement for my airfare, will most hagwons agree to pay for my plane ticket if I have proof of how much my ticket cost? |

I would guess not because they will pay for your VISA run to Japan instead of your flight over, but you can always ask.
Or, if they do you might have to pay for the VISA run. Either way, just negotiate. The worst they can say is NO.
