My husband is currently playing Whitesnake rather loudly and making a little green teddy bear shake up and down and headbang to the music. To my surprise, Baby_Bird seems quite impressed with it all. Every time the green teddy stops head banging, Baby_Bird starts crying in protest.

My brother-in-law does a similiar thing. Him and his 2 year old daughter put on matching Metallica shirts and pretend to be in a band, head banging, air-drumming and generally being silly. She loves it. But only with him.

Haha - that's so cute!

Actually, I once played Breaking the Law by Judas Priest when Little_Bird was around. He was almost 2 years old and he went mental - leaping around like a wallaby on acid, shouting "Law... LAW.. .LAAAAAAAAAAW!!" whenever he heard the chorus. After that he demanded all the time "Law! Law!" and we'd play it for him and he'd go absolutely nutty! A real metal head and not even 2 years old!! In the end we got so worn out by it that we had to hide the CD, and we got him listening to The Wiggles instead.

I'm not gonna click the wiggles link, because it will only make me miss my niece, and my previous choices of not marrying my love and having kids together.

My biggest mistake.

At least i know I will never make a
bigger mistake

Got me thinking. I used to practice inline skate hockey on an abandoned tennis court.
I'd take my young son out there with his Big Wheel trike all decked out like a police cruiser.
Often, he'd be chasing me down, intensely singing, "Bad boys, bad boys... Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?"
TV baby? Smile

He's much bigger than me now, and the cute factor's gone, but that memory persists.

It's not entertainment for the baby, but more for the adults. My brother's babies fall asleep when you play Barry White. He used it with both of his children. I wonder if it works with all kids... something to do with the low voice, perhaps. I've seen it work with my nephew when he was little. It's hilarious...almost like someone slipped him a roofie.

Any Dave's parents willing to test it out?

What about this thread keeps drawing me back?
Perhaps baby_bird.
Throughout public school, I was always a year younger and a lot smaller than my classmates.
Plus I have a talent for whistling.
A large Hispanic classmate dubbed me, "Babie Byrd." I carried that nickname for a couple of years. Grades 3&4, as I recall.

I like taking my grandkids out, getting them dirty and totally spun out on a sugar high and then give them back to their parents. Its just revenge for what they were like as kids.
