|
|
Please read through ALL of the post before asking/posting/PMing questions.
Im asking $400 for it or just PM your offer.
My thinking: Ive calculated out that if I sold all of the games at $10 each (still cheaper than Yongsan which, for me at least, has been $15 a game), the price of Duel Layer dvds that Im including, ignoring the extra money wasted from bad burns, and the fact that my 360 hasnt been banned on Live, I might be asking for too little. Should I get many offers, Ill be doing this more as an auction.
As you can see from the pictures, this comes with 2 wired controllers, a used 6 (it might be 8) GB hardrive, the cords to power/plug in the 360, a cd booklet for the games, 3 Verbatim DL DVD+R discs, and 7 Ricoh DVD+R DL discs (the Ricohs didnt burn for me).
Games:
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2
Ninety-Nine Nights
Battlestations: Midway
Gears of War
Spiderman 3
Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged
Viva Pinata
Call of Duty 2 (menus in Korean but voices in English)
Call of Duty 3
Table Tennis
Crackdown
NBA Street Homecourt
PerfectDark Zero Limited Edition (2 cds1 is the game and the other bonus material. Both are legit versions and has its own case not in the pictures)
Tom Clancys: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Tom Clancys: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Virtua Tennis 3
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Enchanted Arms
Forza 2 Motorsport
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Star Trek: Legacy
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
NOTE: GAMES WILL NOT BE SOLD SEPARATELY!! ITS ALL OR NOTHING!
All games are copied and will work in English (except Call of Duty 2 and PerfectDark Zerosee above).
Im selling this because I realized I only took joy in getting new games rather than actually playing them!
DOWNSIDE: Heres the bad partall of my games, though they work properly, seem to freeze after you play the game long enough (though you can still play all the way through with some games without any problems). Given my difficulty in originally burning the games (my computer could only successfully make Verbatim copies), I think its due to sub-par burning capabilities. There was a lot of expensive trial and error before I made my first successful copy.
Xbox Live: My 360, even though it is modded, is NOT BANNED as I never used it for Live play except connecting once to update the xbox. I never played a single online game (and this was before the bans started happening) but I will admit that I wasted one of the 3(?) free trial accounts that every 360 gets in the process.
Why Im selling: I dont play it often enough. And as my girlfriend and I are already trying to share a small space, its a bit much to dominate the TV when there are few other options!
If we agree on a price, we can then setup a pickup location

So what you are trying to say is none of your games work.[/quote] |

No, I'm trying to say that if you start to play one for an extended period of time, don't be surprised if it freezes up and you have to restart the xbox. At the same time, I'm trying to tell you my theory of why it does this (i.e. my burns aren't the best) |

So you are trying to sell games that don't work in with your console. You are not sure why they don't work but think it's the quality.
What happens when you play an original game? Does it hang as well? I'm sure I would be rather pissed off if I was paying a game for a long time and it froze. |

And you are now beginning to sense my own frustration by not being able to give a clear answer. I only have Perfect Dark that seems legit and as that game (to me at least) was lame, I never beat it. However, it worked just fine as I played it.
For the copied games, one example is Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I LOVED this game and played it not stop until I beat it. However, a friend of mine was playing it and he said that it froze up while he was playing it. So that one didn't seem that likely to have it happen. However, when I played Call of Duty 3, it probably froze a total of 3 times throughout the entirety of playing the game. It wasn't due to a specific area since it seemed to happen randomly.
You said it best mrsquirrel, I was REALLY pissed off when it froze but it was never often enough to get truly upset over.
And no jajdude, I only have 1 and it's only what you see in the pictures (i.e. white only) |

I was actually sitting and talking to a friend who played Blazing Angels with me for countless hours and realized that Blazing Angels never froze once.
If there was any single game that I've played the most, it has been this game. Fantastic 2 player and you need to play solo in order to unlock some of the planes.
Yet, unlike Call of Duty 3, it has never once frozen on the screen.
Also, with the games that I had purchased from Yongsan (LOTR: BFME 2, Elder Scrolls, and Viva Pinata), I have never had a single problem. |

Not that it will matter much but I had meant to say Tom Clancy's Advanced Warfighter 2, not Splinter Cell. |

I will be out of the country this weekend (August 4th - 7th) and will not be able to respond to any posts. If you had questions or are interested in purchasing, please allow me some extra time to get back to you.
(EDIT)
Also, many people have been asking similar questions so I figured it'd be best to answer them here for all:
1. You can only play games that are region free from North America. Otherwise you have to wait for it to be released in the Japan/Asia region (it is the exact same game when it is released).
To find out what games are region free, I've always checked here:
http://www.xbox-sky.com/xbox360_regional_compatibility_guide/
2. I am POSITIVE LIVE will work. As I said, the only time I connected online was to update and I never even played a game, I simply connected and made an account. However, I would advise you to have a legit copy of a game before attempting it. Once you're banned, there's no going back.
3. I bought the system, chipped and all, in Yongsan. It was sometime in December or early January. |

Pending a confirmation message, this batch will be sold for 350,000.
Unless someone is willing to pay more, come check it out (and pick it up) today or tomorrow and mainly--RESPOND before the bidder says the final "yes" ....then this is off the market
NOTE: I WILL CHANGE SUBJECT OF POST WHEN SOLD!! Until you see a CLEAR sign that it is sold, send messages my way! |

I have no definite buyers (some in the negotiation process) and will not check any of my messages until Wednesday (maybe Tuesday night).
When I return, I'll be looking for the best offer but also how soon you can come and pick it up (Wednesday evening would even work for me).
Cheers! |

No thanks stump. I would be willing to take 350,000 for it as a couple of people have offered as much *though most have not followed through or not responded after we agreed to a price*. The sooner a person could pick it up, the better. |

i am aware you specifically said you aren't selling the games seperate, but if you get sick of waiting for some cash or whatever, i'd be willing to buy some games, or possibly all in a bundle. |

THe reasons your games hang up is because the modded console means
added pressure for the components inside. Even without the mods, Xbox
is well know for creating a lot of heat, so I would suggest getting a cooler kit, and then selling the whole lot.
I had a modded Xbox360 with 10 "copied" games, and nothing ever went
wrong when I used the add on cooler. |
