I am not in Korea yet but I have received an e-mail from a Greg who is offering to interview teachers outside the subway station. He listed about three different subway stops at different times.
What is his scam? |

| I think I know him, something like "Say yes" in his emails? He's OK. Subway interviews are quick and efficient and prevents another dull meeting. Subway exits are easy to find are often a meeting point for that reason. |

Interview outside a subway station? Sounds like a solid organization.
I bet you get the job. |

I would not accept a job where they were willing to interview me in a subway. There are so many reasons why, I won't go over them. And if I did have to go over them, the person who asked probably needs the wake up call they will get |

| The pay he offers is quite low too, 25-35,000 for company classes. |

| I think it's Greg from Sayjob or something. I get those emails too and asked him yesterday to take me off his mailing list. Like icnelly said, the pay rate is too low for the types of classes that he's advertising. |

I once MET an applicant at a subway station exit to escort him back to the school in order to conduct the interview -- and he made such a bad impression within about 100 feet that I turned around and walked him BACK to the station and thanked him for his time...so I guess this could be pretty efficient |

Jesus people , screw your heads on for a second woodja...he'll meet you at the subway, walk to the nearest crap coffee shop and talk there. He is trying to accomodate the fact that noobs often get horribly lost on the way to offices/appointments etc.
(no freaking wonder given the street naming system here...don't get me started or I'll hijack the thread.) |

Read it again, a bit more carefully this time.

That's a pretty specific sentence. We are making comments based on what was written. It says interview, not meet. If the OP made a mistake, then he should correct it to get better information. But if that is what he actually meant (which is quite possible as all they need to know sometimes is if you are white and can speak English), then we are giving advice for it. |

Damn. That's almost scab pay. For private work, I can sort of excuse this as the guy is probably meeting teachers all over the city near subway stops. But if this is for a full-time E-2 job, meeting at the subway station and conducting an interview there sounds like the kind of job / organization you should be running from and not running to. |

Who would work for that? I mean, unless they were really blocked or something...
um, also, is he legit? I mean, is he sending illegals and/or E2s inot company classes? |

| I would not even consider going to one of those interviews, I mentioned it because the situation sounds odd. |

You oughta set up half a dozen fake interviews and have the guy running around the Seoul subway system all day. |
