Hey,
Can anyone reccommend a good tour guide for a DMZ tour? Going to Seoul this weekend and would like to get a good informed tour that will show lots of sights etc.
Thanks |

Use the internet to find a good tour. Don't choose a tour for Koreans
because they are banned from visiting Panmunjom and that is the
place you want to see. Check out the USO.
The Korean tours you will see tunnels, but you will be 2-3 Km from the
NK border. The other tours you will be standing next to Korean border
guards and looking at NK close up! These are the tours you want. |

If you want to do the best tour - the USO has the best one; however, you have to book ahead of time and it only goes on certain days. I've had friends that have gone on the USO one and some of the other tour groups and they said the USO one was the best. |

ive been on both and i would have to say the uso tour is the best. the korean tour did take us to a great amethyst shop where were taken into the shop and pretty much told we should buy something. unless your leaving soon or you really must see the DMZ soon wait til a spot frees up on the USO tour and go on that one. |

if you want gifts/souvenirs, go to Dorasan station.
North Korean soju is cheaper, they even have NK whiskey |

I was looking to book the USO tour, but it appears that they have a travel agency taking care of it now (koordoor tours?). Any experience with them? Is it just as good of a tour? |
