Tonight if you're in Gyeongsangnamdo or wanna take the express bus direct from Busan (Sasang station) or Seoul (nambu terminal) to Hadong (and short taxi to Hwagae) you can increase the waygook population hereaouts temporarily at least from the meagre six of us...
The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the river is nice, sangyesa temple is nearby with an hour hike to the Bulil Waterfall tomorrow if you want: it's worth a trip. Eat at one of the many local "jaechop" restaurants the local dish a river shellfish porridge.
Say hi. I'll be the only local Canadian at the concert tonight, not because I listen to them, but because in a town this small it's the only event between the marathon and the fireworks festival. |

Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will push them into the river. |

And watch 15 year olds get swept away in the current? that's just mean. |

Fireworks in Busan? Do tell.
I haven't heard of Hadong or the waterfall.

It's off to the cherry blossom festival in Jinhae for me and a friend this weekend if it's still going strong.
Rain on Sunday will cut the weekend short. |

I told my students that singing that song in class would result in an automatic F for the day. Of course, I would never really do that, but I still never hear them sing it anymore. |
