Hello, I'm not new to Korea but just moved to Daegu. I'm looking for some furniture...specifically a sofa, queen or larger bed and some appliances (food processor, secondary small refridgerator).

I live near Dongdaegu. Thanks!

You can buy a lot of that furniture new or used at the market near Chilseong subway stop... which is not far at all from DongDaegu. You can also order online quite cheaply, especially when there are sales- which is good if you like Ikea or stuff like that (which I do). It only takes a day or so to deliver as the warehouse itself is in Daegu.

Hey can you give me some more information on getting a bed for cheap. My girlfriend and I share an apartment and school only gave us a single bed. Neither of us have been paid yet so the cheaper the better!

for cheap cheap used stuff id head to the chilseong subway (as noted above). there are a quite a few used furniture stores at the market there, all within a block or two of the station.

the ikea-specific sites i used were
http://www.ikeacollection.co.kr/

and

http://www.ikealand.net./

they are great WHEN they have sales. othewise most of the stuff is overpriced, and you are better off with used furniture. you can also check places like gmarket.com or shopping.naver.com.

if you are working at a public school or hagwon, may i ask; didnt your school give you furnished housing?

cheers and good luck. Very Happy
