Tuesday the 1st is a public holiday. Whether you get the Monday off or not depends on your individual school. My hagwon does not have that day off...but a few teachers have asked for an 'extra' personal (unpaid) day off on the 31st...it was a matter of first come, first served. Not everyone can get that day off if the school is open, obviously...

Check with your school about the status of the 31st. If it is a working day, you could try and get it off if as a personal extra vacation day, if there are people to cover your classes (and if no one has beaten you to the punch!) Count on it being unpaid in that case...

Dec 25 is a national holiday. Jan 1 is a national holiday. Dont' expect to get anymore than that. If your school gives you the time in between off, consider yourself lucky. It's best to talk to your school (since they actually make decisions) than a bunch of people who know nothing about your situation on a message board.
