"The foreign minister ... stressed that certain recent U.S. statements were counter-productive ... (and) also expressed concern regarding the recent U.S. legislation," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry did not elaborate on the statements but relations with Pakistan have become a hot topic in the U.S. presidential election campaign.
Democratic candidate Barack Obama said this month that if elected, he would be willing to attack al Qaeda militants inside Pakistan without the approval of its government.
U.S. President George W. Bush described talk of such action as "unsavoury" and said he respected Pakistan's sovereignity. |

No comments on this one?
It's classic. Dems think we should go into Pakistan and look for Al Qaida and Bin Ladin...Bush thinks its against their sovereignity.
Great topic! |

I think the US already does go into Pakistan. They just don't talk about it.
Obamas comments only weaken Musharif.
Do it but don't talk about it and if anyone asks about it. Deny having done so. |

Where's your take on where Osama Bin Ladin is located?
Too bad Iraq so greatly undermines the actual search for Bin Ladin though. |

I don't know , I personally think he isn't around anymore.
Anyway.
70,000 trained in Al Qaeda camps in Afghanistan in the 90's. Why was that?
The major cause of terror is that mideast regimes and elites teach hate and incite violence. |
