So after not hearing from my employer on the pension issue I decided to give my local pension office a call. The person I spoke to said my employer should be insuring me, but isn't.
I remember quite a few posts saying the pension office was really aggressive in collecting payments, but the guy I got just said "You should get a different job or find a lawyer and sue him."
Should I try again? |

You should definitely try again. Also try calling 1355 and the Seoul Foreigner Help Center at 02-731-6800. Explain the situation and maybe they can get better results. |

Yes, individual offices are filled with "chickens". You have a better chance of finding a "hawk" if you deal with the head office in Seoul. |

Yeah, I found out a couple of weeks ago, when I went to apply for my pension refund, that they had no record of my current employers at all. It's been deducted from my salary all along, so I had the girl call my boss, and when she got off the phone she just said that my boss had said she'd sort it out with me personally. |

Don't fall for that BS. It's the job of the Pension Office to get this straightened out. |
