As a first step, they are planning a concert by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in Pyongyang and a visit from the North Korean national soccer team to the U.S., said a source in Washington. At several meetings this year, chief U.S. nuclear envoy Christopher Hill agreed with his North Korean counterpart Kim Kye-gwan that cultural and sports exchanges would help thaw icy relations between the two countries, according to the source.
