|
|
I have the idea that one of my reasons for coming to Korea is poorly substantiated, that being the idea of travel. My travel here is lame. Fault aside, I have the idea that job sharing - that is work for six weeks and hand the job off to a partner and then rotate. Sounds plausible. This avoids that mess of finding a new job, quitting, letter of release etc.
I think its a good idea. I'm gonna look into it. |

When I first came to this country I thought it would be a wonderful idea to work 3-4 months at a hagwon then transfer with another waygook at the same chain/franchise.
I quickly found out that original ideas like that are not warmly received.
Not to mention E-2 visa considerations.
Great idea. In theory.
Of course, nothing stops two of us from giving notice halfway through a contract and recommending someone else for the job, basically swapping positions, especially likely in less urban areas where getting a waygook is difficult in the first place. |

It's progressive sure but it is a good idea from our point of view. The employer would need to think of some efficient way to do whatever 'checks' they might want to do on their new employee. In some cases there's money and/or time involved and it might be reasonable to build that into the pay structure (i.e. slightly less pay to cover that additional cost to the employer). |
