Oh man got it in one! Volcano was the only one I could work out. "Bool keh eee no". Why not just "Book keh no"? 불케노? |

I wonder why if Koreans hate the sound of English so much, they use so many of our words.
At least the Chinese make up their own words... |

Yeah the H used for F in fresh but then the P used of F in family. My gf said the government uses H for F.
Since they import so many damn English words, why don't they just add an F character? This would make teaching English phonics a lot easier. If kids were learning the "fffffffff" from day one...
Also add a null terminating vowel like the ㅇ null consonant. So instead of:
스 to represent a terminal S with the additional "uhhhh" that pervades konglish, just create another hangul character that is unpronounced like the ㅇ. |

So Koreans' can read it. There is a fair amount of English around as well, if you notice.
I enjoy reading English in Hangul. It's a little game to see how fast I get it. After a while, you can recognize by the character's layout if it's English or not. I don't know what it is- the kind of "bat-chims" used or what. ㅋ and 쉬 are used a lot more as well.
And as for the California rolls- it only makes sense that they use English and not Japanese, as they were first created in...wait for it.......California. Go figure. |
