| I am seeking information on what is required to attain landed immigrant status in Korea. I have heard that you must hold a non-tourist visa or F-2 for 5 years. Does anyone have more detailed info? And what exactly does this status mean work-wise? |

| The main immigration office in Seoul has what is called an English counter that you can ring for the type of infomation you are asking. |

There is no landed immigrant status in Korea. The best you can get is a F5 after having a F2-1 visa for 5 years. It is not an immigrant status though...it is like a green card in America.
One way to become Korea, and really the only way is to write the test and pass. There is a test to become korean and you can write it to become a korean national...kiss american citizenship goodbye though. |
