You can give your insight if you want..it just seemed when I read it again like trolling. I can't really attribute my friends reaction to all christians.
It just really surprised me because he is not hardcore but seemed to be angry at my lack of belief. |

Okay here goes (prepare to be dazzled!  ).
I think the key lies in the part I've emboldened above. If the bloke was really secure in his own beliefs I don't think he would have reacted as he did. As you pointed out not all christians tend to react that way. So I think you must have hit a nerve. Deep inside he's probably having strong doubts even though he doesn't want to acknowledge them.
Who knows you might even have done him a favour. As much as he tried to block it out some part of him might have actually listened to what you said. Either way...well done for sticking up for your beliefs. |
