Hey, I'm going to post this because there have been several people asking about this and it's easier than sending messages every time. If you don't want to have a copy shipped over from the states or do the online version (both are a little expensive) just download it off the internet for free. In case you don't know about bit torrent downloads, I'm attaching an email that a friend sent me about how to do it. It's a little like doing Kazaa or Limewire and you can get almost anything (I actually downloaded a set of about 23 Rosetta Stone programs, though I haven't had a chance to use any of them yet.) FYI, I tried the online RS when I first got here and I wasn't too impressed with it. My advice would be to find a Korean friend who will help you learn or to take classes somewhere if you can. It won't cost you anything to try Rosetta, though, so you might as well see if you like it. (Learn to read Hangul before you start) Hope this helps and if need any more help, shoot me a PM.

I use to think you could download anything off the net but was always fustrated with peer-to-peer stuff like KaZaa and Limewire and thier crappy downloads and limited selection of songs videos software. So the answer is to start getting into bit torrents. To do this you have to get a torrent downloader program, its kinda like KaZaa and Limewire but different. The one that I use is Azureus but you could use BitLord or whatever. The thing is this- people take specific files and post them on the web through torrent webpages. The one I use is torrentspy.com or thepiratebay.org, the pages allow you to search for specific stuff and if you want it-its out there, a single person posts the torrent and people download it, and then they "seed" it so others can have faster downloads, also people post comments on the file(s) like this works or don't download this its crap, to registration codes and all kinds of advice- What this all boils down to is that its a way for people to get what they want for free in a relaible manner.
Like yesterday, I searched for Sonar (a badass music recording/editing software which costs thousands of dollars) I found a good copy on torrentspy within seconds. In fact you should download it, if its to complicated for you I can send you another one by the same company that a little more user friendly (called Acid). Its the first one on the list at like 285 MB and someone posted a serial number and activation code in the comments section which I used the first set and it worked great, just don't register it through the internet or phone obviously just put in the codes when prompted and then hit complete or something. This gives you a full "registered" working copy. First the program will ask you for a serial number then install all the files. When it starts up for the first time it will give you like three different options to recieve a registration code, just put in the registration code that is paired with the serial number and click the button directly right of the registartaion code I think its says like complete or register, but then it should say its registered and a full working version.
Also alot of torrents are compressed- to avoid mishaps and fustration download the program winRAR this program is like a universal program for compressing/uncompressing files, either get copy through torrentspy or just download it from the company, its comes with a 30 day trial but after that it just reminds you need to register it if you open the main program, but it also puts an option when right click stuff to uncompress it using the program which does not pop up the window that you need to register it.
Also if your going to be doing this you need good anti-virus software, which you can get for free through Grisoft, its called AVG and it totally kicks ass (saved me many times over the years). They charge companies and bussinesses for use of thier product but not individual users for just one computer. This will protect you if some virus does slip through and it catches them as you download stuff so it never really makes it onto your computer.
Also a really good free registry cleaner will do wonders if your computer is being slughish, it scans your registry and allows you to delete all the old unused stuff that bogs down your computer and by stuff I mean path sequences your computer sets automatically not get rid of actual programs. If you search for Abexo free you should be able to get it for free on like cnet downloads or somthing its like version 1.1 but you should never have to pay for it, if you can't find it let me know I'll compress mine and send it to you.
So to sum it up
-Get Azureus (torrent download program)
-Get AVG (Anti-virus software)
-Get Abexo (free registry cleaner)
-Get winRAR (universal file compressor/decompressor)
-Get Sonar (following directions above)
-Enjoy the internet for what it truly was intended for ha and record some awesome stuff.
