Depends--do you want a Vespa or something fancy, or just the cheapest thing possible? I got a good deal on a cheap Daelim scooter from a rundown dealership.
You should shop close to your home, because if it breaks down that's where you'll be taking it. |

| I agree. If you are just looking for a generic scooter, get one close to home. Those guys will come pick it up and fix it when/if it breaks down. They will also fix small things for free. |

| If you go to Dongdaemun Stadium station, go to the road that heads toward Chungmuro station (you need to walk toward the overpass bridge from the stadium, then go right). There are tons of bike shops there. |

Excellent! I could relive my 80's mod days!!
How about this brace of beautiful Lambretta's I snapped in Samcheong-dong last weekend. These would be highly, highly prized items in UK. I'm no expert, so I don't know how old they are. But they were sweet and a total surprise to see two parked together like this in Seoul.

One of the Korean skinheads has a Vespa, and I know a Canadian mod who drives one as well. Personally I don't like paying several million won for a vehicle I'm pretty sure is going to get banged up anyway (first weekend on the new scooter and a car did a sudden turn in front of me and we had a collision).
Here's my friend Jiwoong on his Vespa.
Testing to see how much the shocks can take.
Here's my hog.
And of course here's the infamous Korean NSDAP axe-murderer bike.
