No, I'm not quoting George Burdi. That comes from the Bundang Kids Club. Check out this awesome ad.

i think that you read the title to your post on the job forum; forgot about it; then remembered it and imagined that you had and originally thought of it.

Hopefully they'll get back to me. The lamest thing is they're using Hanmail, so I might not get through, which basically means their e-mail provider is more racist than they are.

Good day,

Hello, I am a strong, healthy, White man aged 23, and I would like to apply for a position to work in the Bundang Kids Club. I really want to move to Korea because there are too many naggers* in my country.

If you would like, I can send you my resume. I have years of volunteer experience with the National Alliance and the Ku Klux Klan. From 2002 to 2004 I was the organizer for parades and other public events. I wrote a series of children's stories for the National Vanguard magazine intended to teach children that they should stick with their own race. I also wrote and performed songs for my band, Stormtrooper 88. If you consider me for this job, I think you will find I am very good with children.

I have a few questions for you about life in Korea. I am a practicing Wotanist and was wondering if there are church services available there. Also, are anabolic steroids a controlled substance there? I need to stay in shape. If you have any questions for me, or would like to see my resume or references, please send me a response.

Yours truly,

Morris Proctor
National Preservation Society
14/88

*With apologies to Alyallen (yes I changed one letter)

Wow! This ad is impressive! Very Happy
The people operating this school are showing themselves to be,

- racist
- agist
- intolerant of heavy people
- ignorant of what the English language is (a language that has many variations around the world).

Next thing we'll hear is that there are only two countries in the world - Korea & The United States.

I think copies of this ad should be sent to the folowing embassies, Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Ireland...

I just sent her this email...guys, if you see this crap, call them on it.

I'm just emailing you to say that I found your ad in Work'n'Play completely disgusting.

"Of course no non-native English speakers or ethnic minorities."

Oh...of course? As though the racism you *help* to facilitate is completely normal. I know that Korean parents have really silly ideas as to what constitutes an "American" or even an English speakers, but it's Hagwon's like yours that keep the stereotypes going. I'm black and I work at one of the most prominent schools in Seoul. Why is it that your Hagwon can't *get through* to parents that an English speaker is simply an English speaker? Your fear of telling the truth is the type of thing that holds Korea back from becoming a true global leader. You are a disgrace.

Also, you're wrong about contract disputes. Completely wrong. If you're violating your own contract, your teacher will have every right to walk out on you. Stop validating the abuse of ESL teachers by saying "it's culture".

"English teachers in Korea occasionally have contract disputes with their employers. In the Korean context, a contract is simply a rough working agreement, subject to change depending upon the circumstances. Most Koreans do not view deviations from a contract as a breach of contract, and few Koreans would consider taking an employer to court over a contract dispute."

I never realized Koreans justify fucking you over with your contract. I just thought they were oblivious to their deception and sleaziness.

It's unbelieveable that the school that produced this ad doesn't realize how offensive it is to so many people.

Do you have to pay to advertise on there? Because otherwise, I'd say that's got to be a joke. Think about it: they can write in perfect English and yet have zero clue about the culture in English speaking countries? Unlikely.

"to apply, simply email resume with recent, full-body color photo"

This is just begging somebody to send in a photo of that weird guy who dresses like an elf.

That's what I was thinking. No way this would be written otherwise:

Please note, however, that cultural differences exist with respect to contracts. Here is a quote from http://www.aacircle.com.au/teach-in-korea.htm :
"English teachers in Korea occasionally have contract disputes with their employers. In the Korean context, a contract is simply a rough working agreement, subject to change depending upon the circumstances. Most Koreans do not view deviations from a contract as a breach of contract, and few Koreans would consider taking an employer to court over a contract dispute." We don't think you will take us to court, either!
