Hey Kermo. I'll try to make it to this one.
As for where to go, I have no sweet clue. |

There's a really cool Indian food place I went to in Seoul. No, not the one in Itaewon. Its somewhere else... it has kind of a Everest/Tibet/Indian vibe, and has some very eclectic dishes. I'll try to find out the name. |

Im moving to Seoul from the U.S. on August 27th. Whats the best way to get in on all this veggie action?
I'm a vegan by the way... |

Dang, I'll be back on Sunday, August 19 (but probably too jet-lagged to make it anyway...)
How about SM Ching hai or their "Vegelove Cafe" branch in Hanti, followed by desert at "Soy Delicious" (Yangiae station exit 6 ...)? |

Aside from keeping an eye out for this sort of thread, you can always get the news at http://[email protected] and if you send me a private message with your email address, I'll put you on the list so you get reminders. |

Dang - I misspelled dessert! (or is it mis-spell?...)
Btw, the veggie club website link doesn't seem to be working... |

Alrighty-- it's all set and sorted now.
Here's the time, location, directions, etc. If you want to receive email reminders (I'm about to send one out now) please make sure I have your email address (send it to me via pm.)
On Saturday, August 18th, the Seoul Veggie Club will meet to enjoy lunch in beautiful Insadong.
Based on Elaines suggestion, well visit a place called 오 세 계 형Oh Say Gay Hyang. The website is here: http://www.go5.co.kr/
The prices are quite reasonable (between 6,000 and 12,000 for the most part, though you can splurge if you want to) and the restaurant looks beautiful. The menu (you can check it out on the website too) is vegan-friendly.
Lets meet at one of the nearby subway stationsAnguk subway station, exit 6, at 12:30, and Elaine can lead us there. According to the map on the website, the restaurant is on a little back lane off the main street, in the centre of Insadong. The lane is called 쌈지길 but Im glad we have some with us who have been there before.
If you're worried about meeting up on time or finding the place, pm me and I'll send you my phone number.
See you there! |
