I ran across a copy of this book years ago in the US, it seemed like a SF UFO cult . I know a Rosicrucian who is a little afraid to read it, he says it's "spooky".

I did a bit of reading on it this weekend. It's actually pretty interesting, has anyone else heard of this?

Yeah, it's a synthesized "religion," but the book itself is pretty good.

Steve Vai (the cheesy guitar virtuoso rocker dude) used to have his own label called "Urantia," and German avantgarde composer Karlheinz Stockhausen is supposedly an adherent.

I have an insane but brilliant artist friend who swears by it, but it's complete garbage.
