Pretty gay looking from the ads. Kinda gay sounding name. I wasn't going to see it. Then I read a good review. Someone compared it to The Princess Bride. Hmmm. High compliment indeed. Must investigate.

And it really was pretty alright. Not cult funny like princess bride. Not a lot of lines that I can see being quoted over and over again like princess bride. Some recycled ideas, like the dead people in Beetlejuice.

Anyway, just a good movie and no Orlando Bloom.

Oh yeah forgot to mention. There's a small role by Ricky Gervais. He kind of plays his Office character. Lots of funny little trade mark Gervais facial expressions. I laughed my ass off. The Koreans in the audience had no clue.

In Korean, "whoopsy" is translated as "byeontae" which cracked me up even more.

Fark. So instead of "gay" they translated it merely as "pervert"? In some ways that's kind of insulting. Homosexuals are not perverts.

There are lots of cross-dressing heterosexuals, so the term "byeontae" (which translates more as "fetishist") would suit, except for that wink at Victoria's suitor at the end of the movie.
