you can't use regular html tags in most forums, it says so under the options when you write. html is off, bbcode is on.

and you've mixed some of your tags. you've got square and triangular brackets.

finally the CODE tag is for displaying code in a forum, not for allowing the forum to use html code. html is disabled because it can be potentially malicious and used to circumvent site security.
