I guess they got 18 Reans (Christians) and they are ready to shoot. The deadline is up in the next few hours....15 women too! My question is, what the hell are they doing there!? Can't they find a better place to spread the good word!?

Korean missionaries think they can change the world....

I think they don't realize how dangerous it actually can be...
the Korean government is pissed about the missionary situation.

So much so that they have banned giving visas to countries Korea considers off-limits(Afghanistan being one) and the law was put in force a couple of weeks ago....however the group that are kidnapped got through before the ban. have been there for some time.

You know if they are released they will go back again.
This sounds callous but maybe the need some sense put into them....

a little callous bro. I think a gun to the head and being threatened for 24hrs should scare the ba-jesus out of em enough not to want to come back!

I just wonder who the idiot was at the meeting that spoke up and said "Lets go to Afghan!!" moron!

It was organised by an NGO and they got in contact with the church in bucheon to bring soem "volunteers" to help them...

i am sure the missionaries intentions are good but by the sounds of it they are not really using their brains...

Give the bashing a break here. There are 18 lives on the line! Its not always about you or your feelings. These people are loved...parents, sons, daughters...let them be.

The Korean government had already told NGO 's and related Christian organizations NOT to go to Iraq and Afghanistan. If anything happens it's on them.

I hope no harm comes to these dumbasses but when they come back to Korea, their leaders are held accountable for defying their government's travel ban.

Those missionaries threw their lives away. They were dumb enough to go to that country so they should be left on their own.

Oh but it's the Taliban, it's not Afghanistan's fault. Right?
It's so easy to solve this problem if someone in power just grew a set of balls.

Just because they are idiots, doesn't mean they shouldn't be saved. Hopefully they get out intact scared just enough so they don't try to do it again.

If they were that stupid to begin with, then they're beyond hope. Preaching Christianity to a people immersed in an ideological war. They'll get no sympathy from me, especially if any of our forces are killed in a rescue attempt to save these idiots.

What was next on their itinerary, handing out "Jesus Saves" pamphlets in Baghdad? How about setting up a display table at the Hajj in Mecca? The time is right! Mix Korean arrogance with fundamentalist zeal and this is what you get.

I say it was a secret ploy by the Korean toursim assosciation. Convert them, then the women yank off their burkas and it's off to South Korea to bolster the burgeoning cosmetic surgery/tourism initiative.

This is a country in which the punishment for converting to Christianity is DEATH. WTF were they thinking????

A bunch of Koreans were kicked out of Afghanistan a year ago for proselytizing...didn't they get the memo??

Can't wait to see how this is going to be spun into being "America's fault."

That is what my wife said, if they were killed the Koreans will blame America. I asked how the F is this America's fault. But you know Koreans they have to blame someone for everything. I was in the Canadian forces a few years back, all I can say about my experiences in Afghanistan is that the taliban hate Americans, but they hate christians even more. I would not like to see anyone hurt, but the Koreans are now involved in a holy war against Christians. Korean has 200 troops in Afghanistan that follow the Americans around like puppies.

Do you have any sources on the "punishment by death" for converting? I believe you. I'm just looking for some more info.
