Public schools in my area have three days off of school because it is so hot. Our hakwon keeps plugging away though. |

Christ, it's not that hot. Just turn on the air conditioner.
What? They don't want to use the air conditioners or something? |

My school is ending at 2:50 instead of 3:30 because of the heat. I'm not sure how much of a difference that really makes, and I have to stay until 4:30. |

That's kinda pointless isn't it? The sun is at its hottest between 12 and 3 right? LOL

I taught Grade 4 in a tin roof portable during the early summer. Hot as hell and that year, we had the highest temperatures ever recorded.
I had the students running back and forth to the school building getting water and loading up my spray jugs (washed out Windex jugs). If the students were on task and doing well, I'd go around and give them a good spray. More depending on how well they were learning. It worked like a charm. I was also the most popular teacher around in the halls with my spray can.
This is one option. We kept learning even though it was well over 100F or 37 degrees celcius in our little shack. I was lucky though, my students were new to Canada and their parents felt blessed and would never complain....
But the spray can is a good, workable option. Also worked wonders here in my language classes in Korea.
