Its for a country school, so it would have to be pretty easy.
Does anyone know a book that has Hangul along with English so the kids know what they are saying?
Thanks

English Communication 1 & 2 by Putlack and Cho has some useful lessons you can modify. I find Cambrige's Interchange series best suited to teenagers' interests but it moves along at too fast a pace for students you only see once a week. |

Hey, I teach at a countryside school and I used "Real Stories". Its got some funny anecdotal short easy readings with follow ups. Some of the stories are kinda goofy (for example, about a man who wears a name tag everywhere and becomes very popular). However, it does contain adult topics (I mean, acceptable adult topics with subject matter appropriate to hold the interest of someone of adult social and intellectual maturity. Not the other kind of adult topics.) and it is easy. If want more info, I can get the author, etc... and I bought it at Kyobo Bookstore in Seoul.
BTW, my district doesnt want us using textbooks at middle and high schools. We are supposed to be designing our own lessons. But I was using this book for a summer camp. |

I used Talk Time with some college freshman.... It would probably work for high schoolers as well.... I adore that book... |

i use the Get Real series from MacMillan publishing.
i also like it because i try to keep it real.
its not so much a conversation book, but it has a bit of everything and seems to work alright with big classes. |
