The exchange rate for the Canadian dollar is the mid-850s. Sometimes I notice it drops to the mid-700s and then next week jumps back up. Lower, of course, is better. Gets me excited. But then it's a bit of a mystery to me why the Korean won has suddenly gained against the Canadian dollar or the Canadian dollar has suddenly tanked by 12%.

One week when it was in the mid-750s, I checked the rate in the Korea Herald and they still had the Canadian dollar at the 850ish level. Ah, then I figured it out. The blind idiot preparing the rate table sometimes gets the Canadian and Australian dollar mixed up:

Anyway, the long 'n' short, before running to the bank to take advantage of some big fluctuation, double check online.
