Seems like a nice enough laptop, but what is so special about Macs? I know that there are alot of people out there that think they are great. What is the allure, and what makes them worth paying more money for? |

Great hardware, better software, and aesthetics. Apple products generally have better resale value when selling them as well for a number of reasons. |

macs have a great resale. Also, macs are great for people who are into the internet. I'm a gamer and apple is not great for gaming (to say the least).

Crap! 80% of the icons I had on my desktop just dissappeared. Where did they go? Are they erased? microshafted again!
God, Microsoft sucks. Does this happen on a Mac? |

Not exacty true. Mac's can run windows nativey as well as run os x. With the hardware they use most mac's are on par or better thn their pc counterparts for gaming. My rig is a core 2 duo, with 2 gigs of ram, and a great 128 mb(dedicated) video card, not to mention a sweet led backlit screen for high res-battery saving graphics. A very capable gaming rig if I need it to be. Plus EA has decided to fully support apple products natively from now on, so even if you don't want to use boot camp you can play many great games on your mac easily.
Bump to the seller, he is listing this at a very fair price |

What about Mac's and their over heating problem.
It was quite an issue with the first generation Intel based Mac's |

you can't trust what you read about macs because they have so much opposition from PC manufacturers, microsoft, etc.
I had 2 1st gen intel macs. They got hot but it didn't damage or effect the computer.
Some negative PR for ipods to try to damage their reputation. |

It was fixed via firmware update, which apple released quickly. Overheating is certainly an issue with hp/compaq notebooks as they use the crappiest fans availible. |
