An interesting double standard that China employs to put up a barrier to entry to foreign companies. China makes it rather mandatory for foreign companies to allow China's union (I think they only have one legal union) to set up shop, make sure the company pays the correct wage, etc. Although you can be sure no such over sight exists for Chinese companies...
