I download movies/tv shows on my computer, then send it to my xbox through a router, and watch them on my tv.

Is it possible to do that with the 360? My brother has one at home, and wants to start downloading tv shows he's missed, but he doesn't want to watch them on his computer.

I read that you can download things from XBox Live and WMV videos will play, but can you do it with any kinds of videos...ie files from torrent sites?
