|
|
Because of my frequent travel, I am considering selling my membership in the Apple Gym healthclub in Mokdong and investing in a treadmill. I have 8 months remaining (until 1 May 2008), [EDIT: now it is 10 months beginning 1 Oct 2007 - see 3 Sep post this thread] and am willing to negotiate a fair price with anyone interested. Also it appears that I can add 2 years to the contract for the price of 1 year, if I act before the month is over. For reference, I paid w768,000 for the full year membership.
This place is about 10 minute walk south from the new Hyperion II apartment, or about 20 minutes walk from the Omokgyo station. It is immediately south of a small park that is next to the Seoul Immigration Office and the Yangcheon-Gu Office. Their website (Korean) is
http://www.applegym.com/
Please email me [email protected] if you are interested.

What kind of money are you wanting for this membership?
Exactly what is included with this membership? |

I haven't put much thought into an asking price... how does w450,000 sound? If you're interested in the 2 more years for 1 year price, I would just pass that cost on directly.
Um, the membership includes access to all the fitness equipment. There are the usual aerobic machines (treadmills, bicycles, step machines, etc). There is also a wide variety of weight machines and free weights. The gym offers a variety of different classes, some of which are paid for extra (but I *think* some of the classes are included, not 100% sure, because I never used them). The only think I clearly know is NOT included is access to the indoor practice golf driving range. Sorry I don't know the details well, because all I ever wanted / used was the treadmill and bicycle. Oh - all the treadmills have TV sets.
If you are still interested, I can get answers to any of your questions from the staff. Since you inquired, I'm assuming you live/work nearby, as do I. If that is the case, we could also meet sometime and go visit for a q&a session. |

I just had my Korean colleague read the terms of the contract, and there is no mention about a fee in the section where it says I can transfer the membership. If you have further interest, we can ask that question directly to the staff of course. |

Becuase of my recent travels, I was able to get them to suspend my membership retroactively. So, instead of 8 months remaining now there are 10 months remaining beginning 1 October. |
