My contract and visa are up on August 31st. I work at a public school.
How many days do I have until I have to leave the country?
Thanks. |

If your visa (ARC) expires on the 31st then you MUST either:
a) Leave the country by midnight on the 31st or
b) Get an extension BEFORE the 31st.
Failure to do either A or B will result in a delay (of up to several hours) at the airport when you do try to depart as well as a fine (of 100k won or more) that must be paid before they will let you leave. |

Your local immigration office & their phone number should both appear on your ARC card. I went in to Uijeongbu, & got an extension until the 21 May, when my flight left for Beijing. Bring a copy of your airline ticket too or at least the phone number of your travel agent. |
