| you could buy a one-way ticket back home with no restrictions, so that it looks like you have a roundtrip ticket, and then cancel it after you get to korea. |

| from what i've read on here, its pretty ambigious...i've been told that you don't need an onward ticket, and you'll be granted a 30 day visa upon arrival but again, it's difficult to say...but i know there is another member from the uk who's had no problem with one ways... |

Get off the airplane and follow the crowd to the passport control lineup.
Present your passport and entry card (given to you by the flight attendant) to the official.
They will take the entry card, stamp your passport and send you on your way. (Non-registered (NO ARC) foreigners still have to fill in an entry card).
Go down the escalator to the baggage carousel and get your bags.
Go through the customs lineup and out of the secure area - get some korean money at the money exchange desk on the way out.
Go out to the curb and find the bus going to your destination.

one of the most precise, concise, correct, and complete replies I've seen here. Wish you were here when I first arrived. |

| I've been told that it's less stressful to chose a a line with a female immi officer at Incheon if you're coming here on a tourist visa. Specially if you're doing it for the second or third time! |

If you have your regular passport issued by your government, but no VISA issued by the Korean government, you will get a tourist VISA inside of the passport.
If you have NO passport, you go back on the first flight available. |

I thought I might not get my E2 in time for leaving so I looked into getting into Korea from the UK with a tourist visa just in case the E2 didn't arrive on time.
I spoke to the Korean embassy in London about this and they insisted that you cannot get a tourist visa without a return ticket. |

If you go to Korea during an E2 request, your E2 is immediately revoked! |

Lucky I got my E2 then!
I made the enquiry prior to beginning the process for an E2 therefore I was in no danger of having the E2 revoked. |

If you haven't applied for an E-2 yet (i didn't know that rule), and the airlines allow you to fly to Korea on a one-way ticket, I've never once seen Immigration ask for proof of a return ticket before giving a tourist visa - and I hang out by the Immigration desks all the time .
I mean, how do they know you're not taking a ferry to China or Japan? Or picking up your ticket from a travel agent in Korea? |
