way too expensive man.
you can get a brand new 2.16 core 2 duo (which is 64 bit and will rock with the upcoming 64 bit leopard upgrade) with double the hard drive space and a superdrive for like 200,000 more on the apple site.
also, where are you buying your ram?? 400,000 for 2 one gig sticks???? |

yeah, and memory at apple korea is even more f!@$ expensive. I think I did end up paying 400,000 but I have a bad memory. I need at least 2.0ghz to play the new halo 2 on vista. I'm running vista with OS X. It's great having both but apple machines (and OS X) have never been good with games - even with vista. |

What did you add to this sale to make it go up 50,000?
Your original post was $800 (850,000) which didn't make sense anyway considering $800 is about 750,000.
I bought one with the exact same specs as yours for 750,000 4 months ago minus iwork, but with warranty left on it, a bluetooth mouse, carrying case, protective film on the outside, and wrist rugs on the palm rests. At the time, that was a good deal. Your original post of $800 would have been about right.
You may have paid a fortune for the ram, but it isn't worth much. Apple charges an exorbitant price for ram. They also charge an arm and a leg for any repairs. Yours has no warranty left. If it did, someone could buy apple care for 150,000 and it would be good for another couple of years.
Of course you're welcome to sell it for whatever you wish.
By the way, are you selling the discs as well for iwork or is it just "loaded"?
For reference, 1Gb ram chips of the same specs sell for 37,000~40,000. There is no difference in the ram. For the Mac Pro, the ram chips are Fully Buffered and have special heat sinks to cool them. You can buy similar spec chips without the heat sinks and they will work, but it will cause the ram to run hot and thus the fans run more and make the machine noisier. There are no problems like this with the macbook.
check out kmug.co.kr/sale.htm This is one of the biggest used mac marketplaces in Korea. Someone posted your exacts specs with ram upgrades for 750,000 today...
Good luck |

It's a best offer sale. Whoever provides the best offer gets it I'm merely suggesting a price.
I'm using my pricing based on ebay's selling price for macbook's with the same specs as mine. It is not my fault apple charges too much for their ram.
Yes, there is a lot of cheap ram makers out there, but I don't recommend buying ram from cheap manufacturers because the speed sucks. I bought my ram from Apple.
if you wish to compare my prices, plesae visit apple.com |

you've been reported to Dave's ESL for harassing sellers. I looked at your
post history and all you've done is bother sellers. |

Look at my post history as much as you like.
Point out when I have been wrong.
By the way, apple ram and third party ram run at the same speed. The only reason apple's is more expensive is that they have certified it.
If you hadn't raised your price suddenly and deleted your original post, I wouldn't have said anything.
You can't compare prices at home or on ebay with prices for things here. Things are usually more expensive to buy here and more expensive when sold here compared to US prices. When it comes to macs, the spectrum can vary widely as there is a very limited user group here.
Most people here know nothing about macs.
P.S. if you read my posts, I have criticized sellers, defended sellers (including myself), and corrected misinformed reply posts...unlike some who just troll and post negative crap on everyone's listings. If I am wrong I am more than willing to admit it.

you accuse people and bother them by suggesting sellers are ripping buyers off. Because I paid 350000 JUST for my 2gb of ram, I can ask for a higher price. I stated that as being the reason why mine is different/special.
You see yourself as a robinhood of dave's esl cafe but you're about to get tossed out. Get ready to make a new account.
cheers

If I paid 20,000,000 for a 1995 Elantra last year and tried to sell it for 18,000,000 now, you think I wouldn't have someone say something? Just because you paid too much doesn't mean others will. You also said nothing of the such in your original post before your price went up.
I wouldn't make a new account anyway. Why bother? |

He raised the price because he CAN. Its called changing your mind. Its his computer and he can sell it, or ask as much for it as he likes.
I looked up the specs and can say its a good deal. MACs are solid machines. The are expensive regardless, but worth the investment. I just bought myself a MBP and am having it sent here.
Good luck with the MAC sell.
And Cheers to ALL! Good riddens to rubbish! |
