Rather disgusting stuff.
I just hope you're not suggesting that that is the baseline of acceptable behavior. If we use that to justify our treatment of them, then we're really no better than they are. |

Just cause the US did the Dresden bombings which killed many civilians did not make the US the same as World War II Germany.
When Sherman burned down Atlanta that did not make the Union the moral equivelent of the South.
The US isn't perfect but AQ is evil. |

No but they killed a lot of civilians.

No but the tactics used by the Union were very harsh.

No, but there is a world of difference between the US and the enemy.
Even if the US were to use the same techniques as AQ the US would still be morally superior. Cause of the difference in the goals. It doesn't mean the US ought to use the same techniques. But what a side fights for must be considered too. |
