Can anyone tell me what's happened to PRIDE? There hasn't been an event since that bald-headed git from the UFC bought it. Has he closed it down for good? I guess it's less competition for UFC now that it's gone.. |

TBA EVENT: FINAL CONFLICT 2007. There's no info about it but with a name like that it sounds like UFC plans on burying PRIDE. |

In September, Rampage Jackson and Dan Henderson will have a title unification match. |

Pride is done as we know it. UFC bought Pride so that they own all the fighters under Pride contracts and gain their fight footage. There were rumors of UFC starting Pride up again, but that fell through once UFC realized that Pride was without a TV deal in Japan.
UFC might ope a UFC Asian type organization in the future, but watch for K-1 Heroes to take the place of Pride in the next 6 months - 1 year. All depends if they manager to sign Fedor. |

Pride's no more dude. All one organization.
In their heyday, I would agree that Pride fighters were better in every division save for Welterweight. UFC guys dominate in that area. |

I have really missed Pride. When I came to Korea I was instantly hooked on this sport and looked so forward to tournies like so many others. They had regular events with great match ups and some even better miss matches. Lots of show man ship before the fights. UFC want come close unless they really start making international match ups. Fedor was the king and a lot of time has passed now. I am sure he will be as hungry as ever to get back in the ring. Actually could be a great chance right now to take Spirit MC to the next level. Lets face it K1 does not come close. |

I agree that K1 will probably pick up where Pride left off. Overeem and Sokoudjou,Kharitonov, Minowa, Arona, Hunt, Gomi appear to be headed there. If thet sign Fedor I'm sure his brother will be included in the deal. Yoshida and Barnett are also up for grabs. |

I suspect Fedor's brother may never be able to fight in the US due to his prison record, too bad, excellent fighter |
