Hanatour.com is offering seven days in Manila, airfare and hotel, for just 398,000 won plus 80,000 won in tax and additional fees if you are going alone. The only drawback is that the flight to and from Manila has a long stopover in a city I don't know yet. But gosh, this is a DEAL! |

Have you been to Manila? I love the Philippines, don't get me wrong, and Manila isn't without its charms, but a full seven days there seems to me to a bit long, especially if you're hotel is there and there only. You could do an overnight trip somewhere I suppose, but you'd have to shell out again for another place to stay? |

Is the hotel in Makati or Ermita/Malate?
While I'm not big on Manila, I wouldn't mind exploring more of Makati, and most importantly, you could STILL leave and go somewhere else for half your trip. Just because you have a hotel in Manila, doesn't mean you'd have to stay in Manila.
Any chance there might be flights still available during Chuseok? |

That'd be a great week of TV viewing. You could watch the sunset every night, go to that giant seafood place, go the big mall, go to the cafes and then back to the hotel assuming they hve a nice TV package. |

I'd think if you have good friends there, or a few reliable women you can screw, a week in Manila might not be enough. |
