Ok, I was never the type of person who got into Myspace, Hi5, WAYN, or any of those other invites to sites that I've been sent by people via email. Sure, I'd sign up for one or two, but I'd never log in again, and completely forgot about it.

But this facebook thing... damn. I think I have a problem. I've become a creeper.

Anyone else having this problem??

Yeah that facebook is addictive.....highly addictive....you find people who you haven't thought about in years. I found friends that I use to party with as part of the Toronto 'rave' scene. YOu leave the group because you were tired of seeing all these kids jacked up on crystal, e or k....your friends leave shortly after that but you lost contact....years later this thing called facebook comes along, there is a group called something like I use to rave from 1995-2003....and volia instant reconnect.....or you add a friend to find out he/she knew someone you use to go to elementary school with and bam you're looking for your elementary school friends....and then you join these other groups and find all these people who you knew or wanted to know and because you're older now you can become 'friendly' with them.

It's a totally addictive site--and I think the difference between facebook and myspace is the 'groups'. I was never a myspace fan because of all the kiddies on there--and not that facebook isn't full of kiddies--there is a group called Unlike 99% of people on facebook I was born in the 70's--I only liked myspace for the music thing. Either way people in Toronto seem to be highly addicted to the site--it is the 'facebook' capital. Crazy stuff--some places have banned it--Ontario government, most of City of Toronto and other highly profitable buisnesses....it's crazy!

They're gonna have to start a 'FA' chapter soon.

Facebook is probably my favorite. The interface is nice and clean. They really try to get a consistent look. My biggest problem with myspace is all the crappy "peronalization". Some people's myspace pages are worse than pop ads.

I like how facebook will automatically tell you whats new with your friend's pages. You don't gotta click through all your friends to see what they've added.

My biggest problem with facebook is the Networks. You can only join 1 school network, 1 region network, 1 work network, etc...

It would be nice if you could join multiple region networks. Like, 1 for your hometown and 1 for where you live currently.

Yeah, I'm a bit obsessed with thefacebook. My friends and I all have myspace, too, but it's just so much more cluttered and creepers abound.

I love the new facebook applications, too--the graffiti one is endlessly entertaining.

I use facebook and Myspace. The thing I like about Myspace is the customization features. My page there is a lot more"personal" than my facebook page. Plus, I've found that Myspace tends to be an older crowd (I'm 30) while facebook is mostly college kids.

Facebook is fun. Hmmm- I figured it originated in Canada, just because my Canadian friends all seem to be on it, but it seems like not many of my American friends back home are.

Way better than Myspace.

I've seen this video--question I have is where's the proof...I need paper trails and other stuff...ever wonder if MySpace or other social network groups are putting this info out there to 'scare' folks?? What makes people think MySpace isn't the same. Any data, period, you put out there on the WWW is up for research and analysis. It's the risk you put when using it....if people haven't figured it out then that's their problem and own stupidity.

there have been times when i just kept facebook open all the time in a firefox window and periodically just hit refresh...
yeah, i've never tried crack but I wonder which is more addictive

the thing i like about facebook is that it (seems?) more private than myspace...i know myspace has that friends only thing now, but facebook gives you more choices. also it's more student-based instead of loads of attention whores. At least it was in the beginning, maybe it's changed by now and i haven't been paying attention
i have wondered if they keep all your info and such...I shut down my profile once for a month or two and then changed my mind and reopened it...and EVERYTHING was just as I had left it. All my pictures, my wall, etc. I guess they do keep it all?

Already found an old boyfriend on it. I poked him because I didn't want to send him a message and then have him tell me to *beep* off or something.

It's fun but it might be just fun for a while and then fade away.

Myspace keeps me connected. The personalizations are well...personal and liven things up I think....

I'm not sure which one is more like crack though...it could be a toss-up.

I did it during college, but now it's so huge and once you're away from college it just morphs into "stalkbook," and you start creeping yourself out when you realize the amount of voyeurism involved in being a member of stalkbook. Also, like every girl I've ever kissed was able to find me on there, and nobody needs to be reminded of their past that much. I avoid these sites now, and it definitely has been a good decision.

I like facebook's format. It's not messy like MySpace, which has too many things going on at once.

Thing is, haven't found anybody from the past, although I've had a surpirse or two. It doesn't seem to have hit Oz yet.
