this can't be the only place in the world that doesn't like cats. (and, yes, i know that cats are becoming more accepted.)

i've heard of cats stealing a baby's breath and cats bringing bad luck in the west, but what are the myths/legends here?

**don't just say 'it's a cultural thing', cuz that's the loser's way out.

Because when cats give you that "You are lucky I let you exist in my space" look you know they are taking mental notes to report back to Cat Planet about your every move.

Koreans are afraid of losing face since they can't control what it said about them at Cat Planet headquarters.

my gf loves cats, even wants to pet the street ones. however she has an absolute, irrational fear of pigeons. i mean, nobody likes pigeons, but who fears them as though they were poisonous snakes?

Why be terrified of pigeons? Why be afraid of rain and sunshine? Why act like tiny mosquitoes are 6in mud wasps? etc...etc..etc...

I've never understood affection towards cats. I guess I'm just a dog person.

Looking at Korean strays, I'm really not surprised Koreans are afraid of cats. Most of them have never seen a domesticated cat, and it can be a shock. Imagine if you went to a home where they keep domesticated bats as pets, and the bats are flying around. You'd be pretty perturbed because of what you know about bats.
