Has anyone seen anything about this in the Korean news?

Japan awaits total lunar eclipse
Japanese stargazers are looking forward to a total lunar eclipse which will be visible over the country for the first time in 6 1/2 years on Tuesday, as the moon is covered by Earth's shadow.
Officials at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan said that the moon will rise over Tokyo at 6:11 p.m. on Tuesday, with about one-third of it invisible. The total lunar eclipse, in which the whole moon enters that shadow cast by Earth, will last for about 1 1/2 hours from 6:52 p.m.
After that more of the moon will gradually become visible, and the lunar spectacle will end at 9:24 p.m. (Mainichi) |

The total eclipse goes from 6:51 pm to 8:22 pm. Apparently the moon won't rise until 7:05.

I agree with spinoza. Boring. I've seen several lunar eclipses in Australia. They just don't cut it after a total solar eclipse. |

Doubt if the weather forecast for Tuesday will let us see the eclipse around Korea. |

A couple of Oz articles on the lunar eclipse, which will be broadcast live on the Discovery Channel:
"The Discovery channel is hosting a live broadcast of the eclipse on the internet, including a live webchat with Clayden. He's using a small telescope with a webcam in the back and will broadcast the images. The telescope will track the moon from start to finish during the lunar eclipse and broadcast in real time the images.
To ensure that the webcast isn't clouded out, organisers have enlisted the help of telescopes across the country. ``We have telescopes right up the eastern seaboard. There is one at the Talbot observatory in Victoria and another in Tasmania,'' Clayden says. Regardless of how you intend to view the eclipse, Mr Clayden reminds us that the full moon has a habit of bringing out our animal instincts. ``We might all be lunatics, so go out and have a look at it.''
And yes, I know Australia is not in Korea. But Darwin & Adelaide are in the same time zone as Korea / Japan. EST is 30 mins ahead without daylight saving, & WA is 1 hour behind Central time. I'll have a look tonight.

Looking at that map I think it might be difficult to go see the total eclipse. |

Like the planetary retard that I am I got up at 4:15 AM this morning to check it out (it's 5:56 AM right now) but the moon was too low on the horizon from where we live.
Would have had to jump in the car and drive to a better vantage point.
Surfing Dave's from a chair seemed like a lot less effort |
