The Parsnip, children, I repeat
Is simply an anemic beet.
Some people call the parsnip edible,
Myself, I find this claim incredible.

There was an old man from Kantukit...oppppss! Nope, no. Sorry. That one won't do.

Umm...Mary had a little lamb, it's fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went that lamb was sure to go.
But when she saw the cost of meat it very much displeased her.
Tonight she's having leg of lamb, the rest is in the freezer.
Your call.

You could look up Nursery Rhymes on line. Be loads of stuff you could use, and simple stuff to work with. How old are these 'kids'?

Who always got in trouble for lyin'
The teacher turned 'round
Knocked Ryan to the ground
Now this kid won't stop his damn cry'n!

Yesterday my cousin Jane
Said she was an aeroplane
But I wanted further proof -
So I pushed her off the roof

Try the book "Jazz Chants" - it comes with an audio tape - When I taught kids, they loved this, and parents were impressed.

Mary had a little lamb
She also had a duck.
She put them on the mantelpiece
To see if they would......

get along.

try this:

My name is Jamie Opta,
I never have much fun.
When other children see me
they get up and run.

Poor little Jamie Opta. (repeat 3x)
He never has much fun.

cheers

Cats have kittens,
Dogs have puppies,
but Guppies just have little guppies.
