Has anyone ever gone to Taipei with no hotel reservations? When you arrived in Taipei, where did you go for your hotel? Thanks. |

There's a hotel reservation booth at the airport. Beware of the really cheap hotels unless you don't mind sharing a hotel with some very shady Nigerians. |

Yeah I did years ago. Stayed in a hotel near the main station, not bad, under 1000 NT per night, I guess under 35 US? I just wandered around with luggage, not so recommended in a place you've never been, but it worked out OK. |

Decent clean hotels can be had for 1000 nt a night. I recommend the Leofoo, its got a great location. There are tonnes of hotels in Taipei, the grand is my favorite but its pricey. |

Try the various sex hotels in any number of areas. They're cheaper, the beds are normally nice, the bathrooms will often come with hot tubs and you don't have to worry about anything illicit that you might do. Even if you're not doing anything like that, still the cheapest places to stay that aren't gross. |
